Josh O'Caoimh is an Irish animation filmmaker. He graduated from The National Film School, IADT. His work has received a world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, been shortlisted for the European Film Awards and won an IFTA. Mikai Geronimo is also known for Fall of the Ibis King (2021), and Ramen (2019). Empty Little People was created in 2021 for RTÉjr, and produced by and maps and plans, which was established in 2010 to enable and support the production of independent auteur driven animation, aimed primarily at older audiences.
