Niall Gaffney is IPUT’s Chief Executive, a position he has held since 2007. Niall was appointed to the IPUT Board of Directors in January 2021. Under his leadership the company has been transformed from a wholly Irish owned property fund, to become an internationally recognised real estate brand which now has a substantial global institutional shareholder base.
For more than a decade, he has been instrumental in raising over €1.2 billion of equity from global real estate investors and built IPUT to become one of the largest owners of offices and logistics assets in Dublin. IPUT has delivered industry leading returns during his tenure as CEO. Niall has also spearheaded IPUT’s sustainability programme and commitment to redeveloping its portfolio which, in turn, supports long term secure returns for shareholders.
Niall joined IPUT in 2000 as Head of Investment prior to his appointment as CEO in 2007. Prior to joining IPUT, Niall worked with DTZ Chartered Surveyors in valuation and investment advisory roles in both the Dublin and London commercial property markets. He is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the property committee of the Irish Association of Investment Managers and is the Irish representative on the Management Committee of the European Property Federation. Niall is a Chartered Surveyor and MBA graduate.
